The Cannon Beach Firefighter Alumni Memorial Scholarship – to
honor those that have passed after serving Cannon Beach Fire
District for more than 15 years.
The Cannon Beach Fire Association is a non-profit organization
that is composed of Cannon Beach volunteer firefighters and career
firefighters who work towards educating the community, providing
public safety, and supporting the volunteers and staff who respond
to emergencies in our community. The Cannon Beach Fire Association is funded through donations and fundraising events, the largest fundraiser each year is the annual ham dinner where residents and visitors have a chance to sit down and enjoy a ham dinner cooked
entirely by members of the Fire Association. This scholarship is
in recognition of past volunteer firefighters of Cannon Beach who will never be forgotten. It is to honor the memory of those whose work and dedication to this community has laid the groundwork for the future of public safety in Cannon Beach for generations to come.
- Graduating Senior from Seaside High School
- GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Community volunteerism: demonstrates volunteerism within the
community the student resides - Financial need
- Involved in extracurricular activities, including but
not limited to: Sports, Band, FFA, 4H, etc. - Preference given to students that are seeking a degree in Fire Science, Criminal Justice or other related field
